Someplace More Ulu Than Jurong!
Hey hey as i read through my initial draft of an unfinished post, i almost always have the urge of referring to Jefferson's blog to see if i had missed out any valuable plot points to be loled at.
My initial draft is in white font, while the green font is additional inputs from the parts that were copied over.
Having arranged to meet at Jcube just half an hour before the movie starts is evidently not sufficient, as Warren obviously have some stuff to do, which led to him being late. As for me, also late cos i tot the venue was Jurong point. Aiya nvm la. Warren late also. While me and Warren were rushing to the venue, Jefferson was already chillaxing inside Jcube. Eh wait, he wasn't. He was trying to find an ATM, but the feng shui master of Jcube decided that there wasn't a spot auspicious enough to install a POSB/DBS ATM so too bad lol.

After the sorta random ending to part1, Warren has made it one of his goals to watch part2, becos it's in Chinese.
Btw, he arrived late.
As random like part1, the story continues with the protagonist doing mostly random stuff and the antagonist speaking English with a WEIRD accent that made Warren ROFLed alot. It is also noted that the angmohs also have WEIRD accents. Overall a random funny movie with a good laugh.

Since we were late, we didn't get to buy Koi money-cheating-plot-device milk tea. So must buy one after the movie.
When Jefferson finally found an auspicious location with an ATM, I was happily suggesting(?) for Warren to buy a hoodie (^.^)v but of course he didnt and in response remarked "only you wear hoodie what". feel like smacking his face.

Afterwhich, when we were happily nom-nom-nom-ing the drink at the bus interchange, Warren asked a rather existentialistic question - why is Chinese garden NOT at Chinese garden? While I had a slight bit of courtesy to control myself not to LOL @ Warren's face, Jefferson was like "simi lan jiao?!!!", 仿佛蚂蚁在热锅上.
After what seemed like forever to Jefferson/Warren, I finished my milk tea with grass jelly. We were headed to ikea! By the way, it's not my idea to go there! Totally Jefferson's idea! See previous post.
As this was my first visit there, I was totally amazed with their stuff (^.^)v
It was also noted that it was a couply place for potential husband & wife to go shopping. I even took a picture of a cute couple:
Whatever the case is, one does simply leave ikea without buying cute soft toys.
Warren's dream of eating the meatballs there was completely crushed when he saw how ridiculously long the queue was. Doesn't matter, got myself soft toys =P
Towards the end we were like randomly finding stuff to play with, and the top award for being the most random item strangely available to the public in Ikea goes to the salad server, which kind of just looks like two pieces of plastic?

On the way out, got some light snacks to temp keep stomachs from growling.
Lead by our determination for Pizza Hut, we proceeded to locate the nearest outlet after realizing the ulu-ness of Anchorpoint. After a furious debate at the bus stop on the venue for dinner, a decision was to be made between either clementi or bugis, the latter being the centre of everywhere where lost souls eventually gather.
Perhaps Jefferson didn't really mind heading down to town.. Warren and I were contemplating whether bugis was a viable option. Just then, the bus that drives to mrt station appeared out of nowhere when I was deep in thought. With typical Singaporeans rushing to board the bus, I quietly waited for my turn to board the almost full bus. Somehow I didn't really like rushing to board the bus. Same goes for trains or almost any kind of queues.
Arriving at clementi, we had almost no problem identifying the presence of Seoul Garden, we as in except Warren who had conveniently remarked that there was an outlet here.
Even though he doesn't look like the person whose grandmother populated the area 10 years ago when Koi have yet to extend their empire to these regions, Jefferson and I decided to put our trust in Warren so much that we [regretfully] appointed him to navigate the group to pizza hut. If you had thought the ulu place i was referring to is Anchorpoint, then you will be strictly surprised. This place which we are about to discover, is like no place we have ever set foot on. One can only hope to arrive there through a time warp bringing one back to pre-utopian Singapore dark ages in 1942~ Back then when electricity was a luxury only the lucky and corrupted could afford, and it was not an uncommon sight to see ominous dilapidated buildings looking down on the dark streets. Chills would run the spine of those who dare to embark on this journey, luckily it was bearable for the most parts.
Led by field arty trained Warren, we pushed on through the windy roads, endured torrents of rain and occasionally took shelter under what is commonly referred to by the locals as HDB flats. We were tired, cold, desperate and some say hungry. Just when motivation was running low amongst us, Jefferson the Elder gave his motivation speech. For whatever Warren failed in, Jefferson knows he can accomplish it. If only Warren can conveniently take out his phone and refer online to the map which no one actually thought of when we started. Oh wait thats exactly what we did. With the aid of that strange piece of technology Warren had recently acquired, Jefferson was able to harness the sealed power within it, we had finally reached the structure that was residing on Clementi Ave 3.
Much like any other stereotypical ancient temple featured in movies, locating the entrance was just as difficult/tedious as locating the structure. Amazingly, the architecture was not too difficult for us as Jefferson and I had similar encounters of places being in the midst of a random neighbourhood. Because of that, we had no problem locating the primary entrance into the sacred location, what awaits us is to uncover the secret entrance within the so-called real entrance which often is used to trick the minds of the commoners. Based on our sources, it was rumoured that the exact designation is #01-309 (2nd Level). Quite an obvious trap door they have that leads us up. In about 5 seconds, we were up on an elevated ground. And so begins the search for the optional 3rd entrance, which is usually placed to test if the protagonist is worthy of the treasure that awaits, also created sometimes by the antagonist to make it seem more cool to have 3 tests instead of 2.

About grueling hours of searching, we had FINALLY arrived to the mythical Pizza Hut [Clementi outlet].

So ya drama much, just to find a stupid pizza hut. haiya if i knew, would have went lot1 instead sianzz. ok pretty much that happens now was quite boring compared to venturing the streets in search for a location which may have been closed down.
basically Jefferson ate food. Warren ate food. I ate awesome food.
Just to comment on Pizza Hut's auspicious idea of opening an outlet INSIDE courts is not a food idea as it is rather stupid becos nobody will think of looking there!!

A Failed Class Outing
also the day which i had been auspiciously waiting for. i could have said the outing didnt turned out exactly as planned, but that would be cheating oneself as this outing was never even planned out in the first place.
while it is uncommon to be eating chicken rice in the morning, it is definitely not to be eating it for lunch. however seeing that the past 2 weeks have been filled with many packets of chicken rice, i've decided to eat something else for lunch - some auspicious mac outlet. even if one assumes that Warren will be notified to eat lunch together, it didnt happen LOL!! [no big deal anyways]

this is the chui part when Warren arrived one minute before the agreed time, JinLong was late, so was WaiCheong [we thought so, but was not the case, you'll soon know why]
becos surprise WaiCheong was already outside of the bowling place o_O [did he take 187 from Boon Lay?]

As the saying goes - one does not simply judge a book by its cover. this [ancient] saying aptly describes the HomeTeam NS Recreation Centre(?). An ulu first floor with some ulu shops made even Jurong looked like a busy CBD. a shocking realisation hit us when we reached the bowling alley counter. it was the most crowded bowling alley i've ever been to [1st of out 4]
becos we were slightly delayed in booking in at 2pm, the alley conveniently gave away our reservation to some other group. thanks again Warren! =D.
[waiting time to get a lane = 7 2 9 mins]
anyways when we finally got a lane to play at, it was fun to see Warren throwing so many balls into the gutters. Jefferson was like being super pro. Jin Long was trying out some moves which unfortunately caused him to have somewhat of a low score. Wai Cheong gave me a feeling that he's just here to throw some balls - average score. if i remember correctly, after round 1, Jefferson's score was over 100 and Warren's one is 99(?) (o_O)
will let Jefferson comment on my bowling techniques (if any) first before i start writing about it..
after the epic conclusion of this session, Jefferson was once again crowned as the champion [other times exclude when Peng Hau is also playing]
Warren was kinda sad his blowing skills became more chui than the last time
I me myself was lmao-ing the entire time at the bowling alley
ok time to leave and eat dinner. location: not the buffet place which was initially intended for class outing.
backtrack >> while waiting for the alley to provide a lane, Jefferson realised the attendance was freaking chui and wonder if Zi Kang should still come for the dinner. as the guilty one who planned the outing, Warren texted Zi Kang a message which roughly can be interpreted as "eh paiseh, i totally wasted your time. tonite dinner cancelled. byes" after which Zi Kang's like-a-boss replied who are you? actually i cant rmb if Warren actually identified himself to Zi Kang afterwards o_O
[somehow not as funny as i rmbed it to be.
shall let Jefferson have a try in relating this part]
back to the main story, we were on the bus thinking of a location to eat dinner. somehow Jefferson was not so keen to eat buffet. Warren is like thinking.. lau sai! lols..
randomly a poster of 太极 appeared at the bus stop and i sorta suggested to go watch it even though i had no freakin idea wad the movie was about

after alighting at some bus stop opposite of IMM, we started walking walking to Jcube, while singing school songs and recalling some fond [and some not so fond] of memories in JC. the best was still the Good News Cafe's kinda weird tasting coffee and drinking and believing that it would keep you away for all the boring lessons ahead. i hate PE class.

stepped into the cold cold world which isglobalisation [lols random] Jcube
Warren was persistent not to eat at the fish place as they serve fish.
tats why we ended up eating in some chili place.
[copies Jefferson's overall lousy rating at the resturant, but praising how cute the penguins the ice skating ring is offering out for rent at a reasonable rate of $10 for 2hrs] [agrees with Jefferson on the pro-ness of the staff working at the ring] [played with their sweetener and sugar packets, kena loled by the waiter/staff] [eating with knife/fork like in EwF but not exactly the same]
after tat kinda weird dinner, we had to have Koi. cant figure out why Jefferson is shocked i bought a $5 cup of milk tea. Warren also bought something. some thing.
headed to the library for Warren to return the books which he probably just borrowed for fun. Jefferson was informing us on some disease/virus/epidemic that causes kidney failure which we should not take lightly o_O
the movie i can say is the most random 98 minutes of my life. even for me, this show is epic-ly random. but would say is random funny, not random weird. Peng Hau would enjoy this movie. Jefferson and Warren obviously enjoyed it? i cannot be more vague on this movie
as another saying goes, all good things does not simply come to an end. the next part of the movie is slated to come out within this month. not sure is true or just bluffing the public. anyway if possible next outing?

A Combined Post
Thesis : I think I'll write a long post from what has happened since the last one.

2. Guild Outing [a day to remember]
Kinda regretted that i took my time to post this cos my memories of it seem to be fading away quite fast. i remember that i was super hyped for that day. i got out of home early to visit the place and walk around. i remember it was the first time i had wore the white hoodie/shirt, it came to be one of my favourite shirts. i was walking alone in the crowd, waiting for time to pass. i love doing that, walking aimlessly with my ipod, looking at random things i might own if i had lots of money. things that i really have no use for, things i would just keep and never use.
why do people have so much free time shopping for stuff. it was some time later when jefferson told me he was late. luckily, i can revisit the shops and look at all the games...
the youngest one is on time. he is also the quiet one. quieter than me, how to change this. decided to look for a birthday cake, the cake we never bought -_-ll Nat is late!!! didnt notice when we started to have full strength. time for dinner.
japanese buffet, boring food with fun people eating. i should have ate more but didnt really felt like eating. before that, i didnt even eat lunch, i just felt thirsty. looking at people eating raw food, i wonder how it feels/tastes like, why didnt i try any. i dont know, im not used to the idea of eating raw food. confession : the gyoza was mine =P.
[it look me almost one hour to write this much, much of the time was spent chatting with jefferson.]
what i enjoyed the most was probably the muah chee: yam/green tea/peanut/red bean. the crabstick tasted kinda weird.. o_O i can remember having all the random unfinished food [secretly put them on another table] the squid was the most random one. chicken on stick ftw!! wont be eating that for some time.
all hope was lost when they announced they had ran out of stock of icecream. after much commotion [LOL], we got ourselves 6 glasses of red wine. my first thought : ok.. whos trying? Apple seems kinda excited. YL is like 'i drink before but dont really like it'. Nat was 'smells nice' [smells weird]. Jeff 'why no icecream'. hm.. i guess YX was thinking 'lol these bunch of weird people are drinking. GM cheat me. i gonna get scolded for being home late'
first try - bitter/disgusting/what-the-hell-why-am-i-drinking-this?!!
second try - still tastes disgusting
at least we have someone amongst us [Apple] who seems to be appreciating it. Like the rest, i cant believe i drank finish my cup. bitter to the max (X_X) had to gulp down more plain water to remove that weird taste from my mouth.
actually my initial thought was 'eh after drinking this, feel less sleepy. maybe drink abit more to keep myself awake'. at least i didnt sleep during the [nothing interesting happened] movie, which Apple was sleeping halfway through lol. when i walked out the cinema, was feeling kinda tired actually. After sending YX to the MRT station [hope he didnt get scolded], wanted for YL to eat his cake. but actually i felt sort of sleepy/drowsy/tired/shacked/exhausted and almost blacked out/fainted/collapsed. i dont think it's really the red wine. because the red wine was suppressing the exhaustion, after it wore off i felt the full blast of the exhaustion - legs felt like jelly, vision blurred/lost momentarily. luckily there was a medic nearby and he gave me what seems to be like magic water which made me felt better, and more thirsty. found a spot to rest at burger king. was told i was sleeping with my hood on and mouth opened. hope nobody stomped me!! was feeling much much better after i woke up from my nap/sleep/rest.
thoughts afterwards:
- why was i so tired
- quite stupid to drink red wine. shld have gotten red bull / starbucks coffee
basically thats what happened during the outing. was quite fun actually. except the encounter with red wine =0

long awaited leave!! stayed at home play maple. got my Battle Mage to lvl140!! Getting kinda sian of it already..

4. You Mean There Was No Change? [everybody hurts someday]
recently i got a remark from one of my buddies asking me whether someone we both knew had changed. quite a random question.
it then made me think whether NS has changed me one way or another. last week just when to visit Comd office. apparently he wasnt in and one of his employees (also known as SSG Ken in the military) entertained us for a while. can see he's quite a defiant person, in a sense he doesnt blindly follow and will rebel if needed.
the point he brought up was NSFs shouldnt go around shouting ORD Lo!!. unless they have plans after leaving the service. after all, SAF has been taking care/feeding/accommodating you for the past few months, suddenly just leaving might leave you money-less ($_$)

why do people have so much free time shopping for stuff. it was some time later when jefferson told me he was late. luckily, i can revisit the shops and look at all the games...
the youngest one is on time. he is also the quiet one. quieter than me, how to change this. decided to look for a birthday cake, the cake we never bought -_-ll Nat is late!!! didnt notice when we started to have full strength. time for dinner.
japanese buffet, boring food with fun people eating. i should have ate more but didnt really felt like eating. before that, i didnt even eat lunch, i just felt thirsty. looking at people eating raw food, i wonder how it feels/tastes like, why didnt i try any. i dont know, im not used to the idea of eating raw food. confession : the gyoza was mine =P.

what i enjoyed the most was probably the muah chee: yam/green tea/peanut/red bean. the crabstick tasted kinda weird.. o_O i can remember having all the random unfinished food [secretly put them on another table] the squid was the most random one. chicken on stick ftw!! wont be eating that for some time.
all hope was lost when they announced they had ran out of stock of icecream. after much commotion [LOL], we got ourselves 6 glasses of red wine. my first thought : ok.. whos trying? Apple seems kinda excited. YL is like 'i drink before but dont really like it'. Nat was 'smells nice' [smells weird]. Jeff 'why no icecream'. hm.. i guess YX was thinking 'lol these bunch of weird people are drinking. GM cheat me. i gonna get scolded for being home late'

second try - still tastes disgusting
at least we have someone amongst us [Apple] who seems to be appreciating it. Like the rest, i cant believe i drank finish my cup. bitter to the max (X_X) had to gulp down more plain water to remove that weird taste from my mouth.
actually my initial thought was 'eh after drinking this, feel less sleepy. maybe drink abit more to keep myself awake'. at least i didnt sleep during the [nothing interesting happened] movie, which Apple was sleeping halfway through lol. when i walked out the cinema, was feeling kinda tired actually. After sending YX to the MRT station [hope he didnt get scolded], wanted for YL to eat his cake. but actually i felt sort of sleepy/drowsy/tired/shacked/exhausted and almost blacked out/fainted/collapsed. i dont think it's really the red wine. because the red wine was suppressing the exhaustion, after it wore off i felt the full blast of the exhaustion - legs felt like jelly, vision blurred/lost momentarily. luckily there was a medic nearby and he gave me what seems to be like magic water which made me felt better, and more thirsty. found a spot to rest at burger king. was told i was sleeping with my hood on and mouth opened. hope nobody stomped me!! was feeling much much better after i woke up from my nap/sleep/rest.
thoughts afterwards:
- why was i so tired
- quite stupid to drink red wine. shld have gotten red bull / starbucks coffee
basically thats what happened during the outing. was quite fun actually. except the encounter with red wine =0

4. You Mean There Was No Change? [everybody hurts someday]
recently i got a remark from one of my buddies asking me whether someone we both knew had changed. quite a random question.
it then made me think whether NS has changed me one way or another. last week just when to visit Comd office. apparently he wasnt in and one of his employees (also known as SSG Ken in the military) entertained us for a while. can see he's quite a defiant person, in a sense he doesnt blindly follow and will rebel if needed.
the point he brought up was NSFs shouldnt go around shouting ORD Lo!!. unless they have plans after leaving the service. after all, SAF has been taking care/feeding/accommodating you for the past few months, suddenly just leaving might leave you money-less ($_$)

anyways happy birthday to Ms Karen! entire section went to Swensens ytd to 'celebrate', more like finding a convenient excuse to go out camp for lunch and skip work. found that a new candy shop just opened in the basement of JP. it's those kind of expensive choc shop that looks damn nice but the things are too ex and sucky.
on the ride back to camp, the NSFs decided to ask random things about our boss's life [more like stalking his daughter] all kinds of stupid questions came out. found out his daughter is studying archaeology in Australia. then Nicholas asked "did she find any dinosaur?" HAHAHA! all the NSF were like laughing in the car. my boss didnt really care. he said 'no la'. then after he explain some things. i emphasised 'so she didnt find any dinosaur la?' then the whole day keep talking abt this dinosaur thing.

Ya actually last Vesak Day I went to walk around Bugis area. Walk walk walk then suddenly saw a somewhat familiar cafe named Chemistry. [belated] Happy Lunar/Chinese New Year! =D
yay angpao time. ok sorry im not as money-faced as warren. but it feels nice to receive red packets [with the additional money bonus =P]. since i was working, i prepared a $88 red packet for my grandmother who finally accepted after much refusal. i think this year i ate slightly more food this year. hopefully can gain some mass. LOL
Day 1
haha finally got to wear new clothes. especially liked my shoes. BLACK sia!! and best of all, it's cheap XD. then er normal dark-coloured jeans.. and the stupid shirt which i didnt want to buy cos i dun like to wear that kind of shirt and was super ex but mother wanted to pay for it but still i paid for the shirt cos im the one wearing it -.- comfy socks!!
like every year, my family is always the the first to arrive at my ahma hse cos the others need to visit the other side. steamboat lunch is the usual-but-not-boring stuff. can't believe i went to sleep after lunch -.- then woke up a few hrs later when the others came.
wah this year sibei bad luck. like keep losing money sia T.T but nvm lah hor. wad goes ard comes ard. or so i think o_O overall lost like all my coins - $6.30++
this year stayed there quite late, ard 10pm+? but then went home still went online [but not to blog]. feel sibei tired. but this new year family gathering not bad lah.

probably the most eventful new year day. woke up sibei early cos need to reach woodlands at 9.45am. specifically checked if i rmbed to bring mandarin oranges. reached there abit earlier than expected. who doesnt want to be early? answer - warren.
late ppl dun bring oranges. early ppl brought oranges. so why they late?!! bo bian went cold storage to buy some other orange which isnt mandarin.. obviously jefferson's parents saw thru the act and laughed at the fake oranges.
played cards which i seem to win quite often cos jefferson gave me his 1 or 2 best card(s) and poor jefferson didnt get to win cos of the vicious cycle. didnt really help tat he was kinda new to the game. lol say as if i expert like tat. anyway the only reason warren got to finish his hand was cos he was allowed to put any card after i finished the game. somehow ppl dun like warren to win XP
ate lunch at causeway point and then went to walk abit. why causeway point nvr sell bag sia... i mean the kind i would carry.
Day 3 - part 2
ages since ppl visited my hse during chinese new year. luckily got enough food/drinks/chairs. feels like lots of things happened but then now got nothing to type -.-
just nice it's cousin birthday so went to buy cake!! choc cake yum =)
relatives left at ard 11pm+ and i was feeling damn tired. but it was all worth it. wad thing was worth it? everything!! =D

LOL didnt finish this post before the time i had initially planned. now im doing a new post intro cos the old one expired liaos!
initially it read:
back to blogging after started doing some work today. ytd was sibei tiring cos of GP lesson early in the morning. as OCC say, from 8 to 11am.
so apparently i can no longer use it.. anyway content wise should be near identical, with some small modifications.
the official post starts here:
jefferson: "huh?!! 3hrs ah?!!" yes indeed 3hrs in tat near freezing computer lab 3. actually i didnt want to attend the lesson cos i didnt do [finish] my work.. the nite before i was trying to get info from the net and in the end went to surf abt random things until 1.30am and with some work done went to sleep, only to wake up a few hrs later at ard 5.45am. ok because i woke up 45mins later than usual, i also arrived at sch later at ard 7.45am. the two chao muggers were already in sch and when morning assembly music started playing, 4 of us went to classroom instead of the parade square. a few moments after the 8am bell, tiangyun walked into the classroom and i [and jefferson] was thinking "RUN!!" if tiangyun can come to the wrong venue, perhaps richards can too!! by the way, i was planning to skipping GP class[or so i tot..] anyway jefferson and i decided to camp outside the library. on the way, saw mrs jasima walking to the canteen and she was randomly asking "came back for class ah?". spontaneously i said yes, when i wasnt actually going -_-ll the stone table outside the library proved to be very interesting cos jefferson and i started to play checkers with him having 7 pieces and myself having 15 =P anyways mrs tan (principal) walked past and i quickly covered the game board with my bag. luckily she didnt look in our general direction. halfway through the game [when i just start to be winning!!] warren called jefferson XP and it appears as if richards tried to call me/jefferson but failed. as usual, my phone did not get any network coverage so i was in a sense saved? anyway the lesson was kinda slow progressing but did have some interesting moments.

yay us today is 10/10/10. shall make a wish: i wish ms tan would bring candy to tues lecture =P
i recalled wad i did last year 09/09/09. shld still be playing maple at that time. aw~ actually i logged in 2 days ago and walked around FM. wad i saw was very random. the price of under the moon chair has the highest variance!! some stall sold for 20mil, 30mil, 40mil, 50mil, 80mil. so random la XD but then too bad i no money or else i go buy one for fun.
just finished the [unbelievably tedious] stats lecture worksheet. took me morning to abt now. kind of like 12hrs. fell asleep at 5pm and then got a weird dream. i was playing with warren at a playground XP haha random..
ok i cant actually rmb if i really did post all my prelim results but here it is:

ok somehow the GP mock [trial? practice? "fake"?] exam was like a total waste of time. i even almost fell asleep during the paper and woke up halfway through. the paper was actually last year's A lvl paper. cambridge must have a sibei big roulette they spin every year to get random themes for compre. last year was on work and leisure. while the passage was easy, the qn was bloody hard. only wrote 60+ words for summary and the AQ was badly done..

back to maple
today i finally lvled up ^^ it took me 1yr to get from lvl1 to lvl77 and another year to get from lvl77 to lvl78 -_-lll and this would not have been possible if there wasnt the alien catching quest event, which gave large amts of exp..
