There is a certain gene in the jellyfish which when inserted into plant cells will cause the plant to turn bluish when stressed. Such plants can now tell us when they are "stressed"! The stressed plants produce a bluish glow when they absorb toxic substances such as peroxide. This is made possible through a transfer of genes from jellyfish to the plants. If you received such genes from the jellyfish, do you think you would glow in the examination hall?
